PARIS HOUSE - WOBURN
So, starting with this year's CIRCUS Award winner in the Fine Dining category is Paris House. And very deserving winners they are indeed! Despite the challenges of 2020 there is no doubt that Phil Fanning and his team have maintained their high standards and created fine dining and gourmet lockdown menus that have proved extremely popular.
The technique, creativity, inspiration, exceptional produce, experience, skill, care and love shines through in every dish that is created at Paris House.
"We've had the pleasure of dining at The Chef's Table and watched in awe at the meticulous manner of all the chefs to deliver exceptional, edible plates of art for each and every diner."
If one element didn't pass muster - the plate would be restarted from scratch, although this literally only happened a couple of times.
During Lockdown part 2 this multi award winning establishment are offering a limited Tasting Menu and special Celebration Menus, so that you can still have that fine dining experience that you dreamed of to mark your special occasion and celebrate in style!

FRENCH AFFAIRE - STONY STRATFORD
French Affaire are CIRCUS Award winners of the Afternoon Tea category and are also gaining a fantastic reputation for their own fine dining Tasting and Celebration Menus that were launched during the last lockdown to much success.
Owners Razvan and Anca not only have created the most instagrammable eateries in the area, their food is also as pretty as a picture too. We have heard nothing but rave reviews of their menus which are created by using as much fresh local produce as possible.
For a very reasonable £42pp you can enjoy canapes, amuse bouche, starters, mains and desserts. Add £6 more and a cheese course is also available and they also have a full vegetarian menu.

NONNA'S OF WOBURN SANDS
Nonna's are multiple CIRCUS Award winners and last year scooped the Favourite Fine Dining award. While Nonna's are well respected for their Mega Roasts, gourmet pizzas, afternoon teas and brasserie dining they also 'bring it' when it comes to delivering a first class fine dining experience too. This truly Mediterranean style business does it all with passion when it comes to delivering a truly authentic Italian experience - any time of the day or night and for any occasion.
Last year I had the pleasure of sampling owner and executive chef, Damien West's fine dining tasting menu at an event and was super impressed by his skill and creativity. Every dish that was presented was a joy to smell and look at and of course to devour!
While there isn't a set menu in place per se, you can call and speak to the chefs personally who will be happy to work with you to create the perfect bespoke tasting menu especially for you.

OLE TAPAS BAR - WOLVERTON
Another multi CIRCUS Award winner offering something a bit different for celebration menus is the fabulous Ole Tapas Bar in Wolverton. Spanish food at it's finest!
During the last lockdown Chef Juan devised a superb Sous Vide (Finish @ Home) menu and launched his unique concept to roaring success! Spanish specials such as Octopus, Ox cheeks, slow cooked Iberian pork, Langostinos in Salsa Verde all feature. I spent an afternoon in the kitchen with Juan preparing the octopus and ox cheeks and let me tell you it is a lengthy process. So Ole do all the hard work and all you have to do is finish it off at home!

Tapas in itself is a natural 'tasting' concept and at Ole they divide their tapas menu into sections, starting with the Allotment where you can find all their vegan and vegetarian tapas, freshly made every day from locally sourced produce. The Farm is where you will discover their excellent quality meat and charcuterie offering, and the Sea tapas menu showcases sublime maritime flavours in traditional tapas favourites.
The lockdown menus are slimmed down but you can be sure to find a mouth watering selection available for your own home Tapas Tasting @ Home experience. Oh! And don't forget to order a bottle of their very own Sangria too.

THE FOLLY - TOWCESTER
We have always heard great things about this charming 17th century thatched restaurant which is situated opposite Towcester Racecourse - but sadly haven't found the time to try it as yet.
They are working with The Brother's Supper to bring the good people of the Towcester area a Five Course Tasting Menu (More details below)

THE BROTHER'S SUPPER - WOBURN SANDS
Hardworking brothers Shane and Aaron Clark are offering tasting menus consisting of canapes, a bread course, starters, mains and dessert for £35pp. The menus I have seen so far have a fun 'World Cuisine' feel made up of Asian, classic English and Spanish influences. I have to say that my mouth waters on reading the descriptions of some of the delightful dishes.
They sell out fast so be sure to put your orders in early.
